Time Out says

In 1968, filmmaker Stanley Kubrick released his sci-fi epic ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’, in which a group of pilots and scientists try to uncover the mystery behind a monolith that appears to have existed since the beginning of mankind.

Decades later, as we find ourselves facing unprecedented times in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, curator Takayo Iida looked back on this cult classic film and found similarities between the film’s setting and our world today.

This collaborative exhibition features nine different artists whose works have been selected for their themes surrounding the relationship between human and technology. Through digital art, sculptures and photographs by artists the likes of Pierre Huyghe and Yuki Onodera, you can contemplate and compare our knowledge of the physical world as we know it with the mysteries of time and space.
