Ancient Egyptian Art & Magic

Presenting select pieces from the extensive collection of ancient Egyptian art and artefacts owned by Switzerland's Fondation Gandur pour l'Art, the Shoto Museum's autumn display takes visitors on a journey through 3,000 years of history. Covering a period from the Prehistoric to the Ptolemaic era of the pharaohs, 'Ancient Egyptian Art & Magic' consists of paintings, sculptures, hieroglyphs, jewellery and more, and makes for an interesting (and manageably sized) introduction to a storied world of pyramids, mummies and pictograms.
