Bill Graham presents Fillmore & Avalon Poster

Time Out says

When political satirists the San Francisco Mime Troupe were busted for obscenity in 1965, manager Bill Graham organised a benefit gig at The Fillmore, kickstarting his career as perhaps the most famous concert promoter in rock history. Synonymous with psychedelic guitar-slingers like The Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane, Graham would also become indelibly associated with the acid-drenched artwork that accompanied his shows. You can see 50 examples from the late impressario's personal collection at this month-long exhibition - split between Vacant and Shibuya's Dictionary Club Art School – which focuses on posters for gigs at the Filmmore and Avalon Ballroom.
