Having collaborated with renowned Thai film director and artist Apichatpong Weerasethakul for years, photographer and filmmaker Chai Siris now presents his first solo exhibit in Japan. Also a contributor to the ongoing 'Sunshower' exhibition at Roppongi's National Art Center and Mori Museum, Siris creates art based on his interactions with the homeless, fortune-tellers, construction workers and other relatively marginalised groups in Thai society. This show, which plays on Benedict Anderson's idea of nations as 'imagined communities', incorporates Thai history and online interaction into an exhibition that questions how communities are formed and how people live their lives through them.
