Time Out says

Located within the grounds of Kyoto’s Gion Koubu Kaburenjo Theater, this contemporary art gallery is popular for its Miyako Odori dance performances by Gion's geisha. The artworks are displayed in the exhibition rooms of the Yasaka Club, a traditional Japanese building which opened in 1913. Artwork from Yayoi Kusama makes up about 60 percent of the collection, of which one part is shown in a permanent exhibition. Other artworks include pieces of domestic and international artists, such as Tatsuo Miyajima, Oscar Oiwa, Joseph Beuys, Anselm Kiefer and Richard Long. Take your time to browse through all the art while sipping on a cup of coffee at the adjoining café and don't forget to take a stroll through the museum's garden.
