Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Nihonbashi's Mitsui Museum puts on a 'greatest hits' exhibition presenting an envy-inducing collection of items designated National Treasures or Important Cultural Properties of Japan. In addition to highlights from the museum's own collection, the display includes art once owned by the Mitsui family but now held at other museums or in private collections – including an unrivalled supply of fancy tea ceremony cups and tools. You'll also find paintings, calligraphy, Noh masks, swords and even rare stamps, underlining just how preposterously loaded the Mitsuis' coffers are.
