Hajime Sorayama: An actress is not a machine, but they treat you like a machine

Veteran illustrator Hajime Sorayama has spent more than four decades depicting the beauty of human-like machines, having attracted international attention with his ongoing 'Sexy Robot' series – which also landed him the cover design for Aerosmith's 2001 album Just Push Play. Here, the airbrush wizard shows off his latest work: ten portraits of a robotic Marilyn Monroe, plus a couple of 3D pieces that bring 'Sexy Robot' to life. If mechanical sex symbols are your thing, this show should hit the spot. An opening reception with the artist will take place on January 30 (6pm-8pm).
