Korean picture book artist Eun Young Cho won the 2011 Grand Prix at Bratislava's prestigious Biennal of Illustrations for her first picture book, Hashire Toto! (Run Toto!), which has also scooped up prizes in France and Japan. Taking place at a racetrack, the story charms with its distinctive characters, and is told from the perspective of a sharp and observant little girl. This exhibition at the Chihiro Museum in Shakujii offers a behind-the-scenes peek into the creation of the book, displaying around 100 original illustrations along with materials documenting Cho's creative process. Visitors with South or North Korean citizenship will be admitted for free (bring your passport or other ID), and accompanying guests pay only ¥400 for the pleasure.
