Hideka Tonomura ‘Love’

Following a stint at Kyotographie 2022, Kobe-born Hideka Tonomura returns to Zen Foto Gallery this summer to present her exhibition ‘Love’. Tonomura, who graduated from the Broadcasting and Filmmaking Department of Osaka Visual Arts School, began photography in 2002 and is known for her provocative works that theme on sex, body image and eroticism. This marks the photographer’s fifth exhibition at the Zen Foto Gallery, where she first presented her series ‘They Called Me Yukari / mama love’  in 2013, documenting her time working as a hostess in Shibuya’s Kabukicho. For this event, Tonomura will exhibit three of her latest series – 'Mama Love', 'Die of Love' and 'Toxic' – as a trilogy that explores the essence of love and human connection.
