Japanese Kogei | Future Forward

Curated by Yuji Akimoto, director of both Ueno's University Art Museum and the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, this show at the Gyre gallery along Omotesando zooms in on the connections between traditional Japanese craftsmanship and contemporary art. Three artists incorporating techniques from pottery and metalcrafts will be displaying their work, all of which explores the many possible futures of industrial art.
