Kaminote Nippon

Meguro Gajoen celebrates Japanese craftsmanship with a display taking over the Hyakudan Kaidan (100-step staircase) pavilion, a Registered Tangible Cultural Asset of Japan, for the month of June. Six artists, namely 'paper magician' Takashi Ohta, kimono decorator Miho Kanaya, miniature builder and former architect Hidefumi Shimaki, paper sculptor SouMa, Showa diorama specialist Takuji Yamada and 'hop-up' creator Hiroko, join forces and show off their wonderful attention to detail, refined aesthetics and knowledge of traditional culture. Should be a fun one for visitors of all ages.
