Held out in the wilds of northern Ibaraki, with the sea and mountains as a backdrop, Kenpoku Art draws internationally recognised artists who exhibit their installations, videos, sculptures and drawings at both indoor and outdoor venues. You can look forward to work inspired by nature, history, culture, industries and other peculiar features of the region, and join social programmes like 'art hackathons' in which participants jointly create art based on a given theme within a given time span. You'll also see collaborative projects with a range of local industries and universities, showcasing the talent of up-and-coming creatives and area residents.
