Since opening in 1919, the Shiseido Gallery has held countless displays focused on crafts, from solo shows by potters and lacquer artisans to group exhibitions designed to promote the development of kogei (crafts and craftsmanship). This latest one, curated by director Yukiyoshi Morioka from Morioka Shoten, draws on that history while focusing on everyday crafts by six artists – including glassware by the Toyama-based Peter Ivy and Hirotaka Tobimatsu's porcelain lamps.
