In his solo exhibition at the OIL by Bijutsu Techo Gallery in Shibuya Parco, Koji Shiouchi is showcasing a series of graphic design pieces that represent his perception of the invisible lines that divide our modern society. There are 15 pieces in total, but the exhibition focuses on three large-scale works by the artist which are titled 'Firmament', 'Surface' and 'Underground'. The acid colours on the three canvases, which are 160cm high and are encased in geometric acrylic panels, depict an intangible alternate dimension that Shiouchi imagines beyond our physical world.
