Time Out says

Inspired by correspondence with Georgia O'Keefe, artist Yayoi Kusama ditched Japan in 1957 and headed to New York. During the following 16 years, before illness forced her to return to her native country, she would produce much of her most iconic work. With Kusama's '60s art currently on a world tour that takes in stops at the Centre Pompidou and Tate Modern, Tokyo audiences are having to make do with an odds-and-sods exhibition featuring films of her works in their original form, accompanied by texts, documents and the odd bit of sculpture.
