Born 1960 in France, French-Equadorean artist Maurice Montero creates sculptures and figurines depicting the attempts of humans to master the art of flight. Made from materials ranging from wood to paper, Montero's pieces are technically masterful, mobile works that bring to mind the toys of old. This exhibition showcases his art at Ichigaya's Cervantes Institute from March 14 to April 2, and then moves to Gallery Seiho in Ginza for eight more days. A talk by the artist will also take place on April 2 (from 7pm) at the Cervantes Institute.
