Providing cross-pollination opportunities for up-and-coming contemporary artists from Japan and Germany in the form of guest residencies, travel grants and group exhibitions, the Art Scope initiative has been going for 26 years now, while the Hara Museum has been involved with the project since 2003. Its latest show on the theme features work by three past participants: video installation artist Taro Izumi and photographer-printmaker Menja Stevenson, plus fine art photographer Tokihiro Sato, whose Art Scope experience came all the way back in 1993.
