Engulfed in volcanic ash almost 2,000 years ago and rediscovered only in the 18th century, the ancient Roman town of Pompeii continues to capture the world's imagination. Frozen in time, it offers a unique look into the daily lives of its inhabitants, not least through the many near-perfectly preserved murals found around the settlement. The Mori Arts Center Gallery now highlights these wall paintings and scribblings from several different angles, inviting visitors to study the architecture, myths, customs and crafts of ancient Rome. A total of around 80 pieces are on display, including a complete reconstruction of a mural-covered room in Pompeii.
