Time Out says

What is art? What is originality? These are some of the questions that might be popping up in your head when you go to Musée du Arvre's Great Forgeries exhibition at Shibuya's Parco Museum. This mother-son-and-daughter trio was formed when art enthusiast Akiko encouraged her kids to copy masterpiece painting – everything from Van Gogh and Klimt to Warhol and Peyton. A few years later, the young 'uns managed to capture the essence of the original paintings so well that their forgeries came to be evaluated as distinct pieces of art on their own. In the near future, a collection of their best works will also be published in a hardcover book, complete with commentary by star artist Makoto Aida.
