Time Out says

The rarest and most important of Japan's many artistic and cultural gems are designated National Treasures, a title so far accorded to more than 800 pieces of art and around 200 buildings and structures. This exhibition brings together around 120 of these in a display centred on the theme of faith. Buddhist and Shinto paintings, sculptures, pottery, and documents are shown on a rotational basis throughout the exhibition period – check out the official website for details on when specific pieces are to be displayed. In addition, there will be a special feature on artefacts from Nara's Shoshoin, the Todai-ji 'treasure house' storing items related to this great temple, between October 15 and November 3.
