Time Out says

Since September 2011, a ragtag bunch of photographers has been travelling to tsunami-hit towns in Tohoku with what might seem like a curious mission: to make family photo albums. Using instant film and albums donated by Fujifilm, they've taken pictures of hundreds of families in towns like Ishinomaki and Shinichi, helping them replace one of the seemingly irreplaceable things lost in the disaster. You can see some of the Photohoku project's work at this one-day exhibition, held at Shibaura House on the 2nd anniversary of the March 11 disaster (as well as to mark the release of their own smartphone app – yay!). There'll be over 4,000 pictures on display, and you can have your own portrait taken on instant film by one of Photohoku's snappers, with all proceeds going to supporting the project.
