Time Out says

Founded in 1898, The Nihon Bijiutsuin is a non-government organisation dedicated to the preservation and cultivation of Nihonga art (Japanese paintings from the 20th century onwards). This exhibition held at the Sogo Museum of Art on the 6th floor of Sogo Yokohama is a display of 84 different pieces by 32 artists and members of The Nihon Bijutsuin association.

Featuring prize-winning artists like Katsumi Kitada and Yuki Nishioka, as well as members who have only recently joined the association, this exquisite showcase of landscapes and portraits breathes new life into the style and spirit of Nihonga art.
