Ryuichi Ishikawa: Outremer

Winner of the 2014 Ihei Kimura Award, Okinawan photographer Ryuichi Ishikawa's shots are deeply connected with his native island and its inhabitants, shining a light on questions of identity and belonging. But for this new series Ishikawa travelled to France for two months in both 2015 and this year, seeking to expand his vistas and discover a new artistic world.
