Shinji Maeda: Countach 2012

On display in this exhibition is Countach 2012, a device for accelerating beauty created by Shinji Maeda, a vibrant artist who has participated in many exhibitions including Dandans at No Mans Land held at the former building of the French Embassy before its demolition. Maeda, who has poured his heart and soul into the development of the machine, believed that ‘The machine should gain the understanding and love of people in this life and therefore should be the most beautiful form in the world’. Maeda lost himself in this endeavor and ‘Countach’ was the result. Get close up to this completed machine to see its beauty and power.
