Steve McQueen: Cold Breath

Considering that British video artist-turned-director Steve McQueen has won both the Turner Prize and a Best Picture Oscar (for 2013's 12 Years a Slave), his upcoming visit to Tokyo has received surprisingly little attention. Maybe it's because of the content: in addition to a talk at the National Art Center, Tokyo on July 22, McQueen is mainly exhibiting his 2000 short Cold Breath, a film depicting the artist stroking his own nipple.
