Tatsuo Miyajima: Life (Complex System)

One of Japan's pre-eminent contemporary artists, Tokyoite Tatsuo Miyajima has worked in performance, sculpture, installations and paintings, and his latest show at Scai the Bathhouse is as eclectic as you'd expect. Making use of the LED counters that have become his core aesthetic, 'Life (Complex System)' consists of counters running at different speeds, symbolising the differing lengths of human lives and the endless circle of birth, death and rebirth.
