The 9th Gelatin Silver Session

A recurring exhibition highlighting gelatin silver prints – proper darkroom plates instead of the digital kind, that is – the Axis Gallery's ninth Gelatin Silver Session zooms in on portraits by the likes of Miyako Ishiuchi, Orie Ichihashi, Yoshihiko Ueda, Kisei Kobayashi, Herbie Yamaguchi, Jock Sturges and Michiko Kon. Incorporating work by a total of 48 photographers, the show also includes talks with the participating artists (see the official Facebook page for details) and a charity auction, the proceeds of which will be used to support 3.11 recovery efforts in Tohoku.
