The Art of TCAF: 2003-2016

One of the top events of its kind in the world, the annual Toronto Comic Arts Festival has been commissioning an international cast of characters to create promotional artwork for it since starting out in 2003. This exhibit at Asagaya's Hakusen Gallery is where to check out the entire collection of posters and other pieces created during the course of said experiment, plus pieces by artists participating in TCAF in Tokyo, an offshoot of the main festival. Artists include Canadians Marc Bell, Darwyn Cooke, Bryan Lee O’Malley, Seth and Maurice Vellekoop, as well as overseas talent like Evan Dorkin, James Jean and Taiyo Matsumoto.
