Art professor, publisher and self-proclaimed 'outsider' Shigeo Goto launched Tokyo Frontline last year, in a bid to give exposure to promising young artists who might have to wait a decade or so before getting a look-in at establishment events like Tokyo Art Fair. A lot has changed since last February, of course, and the second edition returns with an explicit focus on the repercussions of March 11, in the form of an Isetan Mitsukoshi-sponsored program with the awkward moniker 'Kiss the Heart', which invites an international gaggle of artists to present a personal response to the disaster. You can also expect displays from some of Tokyo's hippest galleries and a dozen particularly talented Japanese artists, with a web store produced in collaboration with Parco-City that allows participants to sell their work online.
