Heading out into the industrial wilds of Ota-ku's Jonanjima should be well worth it – this ten-day festival is themed on 'photography of the future' and sees the impressive Art Factory Jonanjima team up with New York's United Photo Industries as organisers. In addition to a three-part festival exhibition, the programme includes talks and symposia with guests like curator Martin Barnes from London's Victoria and Albert Museum, plus a number of workshops for aspiring photogs. Take a look at the full programme in English here, and note that there's a free shuttle bus service to the venue from Ryutsu Center Station on the Tokyo Monorail (departures daily every 20 minutes).
