Wagashi Special Exhibition

The Toraya shop at Tokyo Midtown is great for getting your fix of traditional Japanese sweets, and now you have one more excuse to stop by for dorayaki, yokan and other familiar treats: this free exhibit introduces visitors to the medicinal properties of ingredients used in many wagashi while also displaying some of the prettiest sweet edibles you'll ever see. If you have a few thousand yen to spare, consider picking up some of the limited-edition 'medicinal sweets' crafted in collaboration with Singaporean company Eu Yan Sang, specialists in traditional Chinese medicine.
