World Theatre Festival Shizuoka

After successfully hosting the second Theatre Olympics in 1999, Shizuoka's Performing Arts Centre kicked off its annual Spring Arts Festival (2000–2010), renewed and continued as the World Theatre Festival Shizuoka since 2011. Based on a philosophy that claims 'theatre is a window to view the world', SPAC has been active in introducing audiences to both international and domestic plays, dance, puppet shows, film and various other performances at its impressive home complex.
