Yasumasa Morimura: My Genesis

Stereotype-challenging, gender-bending, freely appropriating artist Yasumasa Morimura's early photography work and video pieces form the centre of this three-part exhibition at Ebisu art bookstore extraordinaire Nadiff A/p/a/r/t. Including 1985 piece 'Portrait (van Gogh)', which kicked off Morimura's series of self-portraits in which he dresses up as famed historical characters, and some of his earliest film work, 'My Genesis' is a comprehensive look at the formative years of a now widely renowned pioneer of contemporary art.
