Known as ‘Yebizo’ for short, this annual event is a ten-day bonanza of video art, film screenings, dance performances, talks and symposia. This year's theme is 'Garden in Movement', with a search for the elusiveness of natural beauty and humanity's place in nature conducted within parameters set out by acclaimed landscape artist Gilles Clement. An innovator in the field of garden design and a specialist in the 'philosophy of gardening', this French visionary will be joined by artists such as Fujiko Nakaya, known for her stunning fog installations, experimental filmmaker Ben Russell, and Malaysian video artist Chris Chong Chan Fui. Make sure to also look out for work by Clement's translator, fellow gardener and aesthetic theorist Tomoki Yamauchi. The full programme and event schedule can be viewed here.
