Yuji Kaida's Ultraman Gallery

Celebrating his 40th year in the business, veteran monster illustrator Yuji Kaida has experience drawing virtually all of Japan's greatest kaiju and robots, from Godzilla to Gundam. But it is his Ultraman images that may be the most iconic of the bunch: virtually all widely circulated pictures of the masked hero originate with the now 64-year-old Kaida. See some of his finest depictions on the eighth floor of Shibuya's Tower Records, where they are displayed for most of October.
