It's hard to overstate how refreshing DJ Marky sounded when he first hit the UK club scene around the turn of the 2000s. As drum'n'bass lurched into a creative cul-de-sac, the Brazilian's productions (and brilliantly inventive mixing) supplied a breezy, fleet-footed alternative to the 'dark' sounds in favour amongst his British brethren. In recent years, he's held down a regular residency at key London club Fabric, and started 2011 by delivering a long-overdue contribution to the well-regarded Fabriclive CD mix series. Marky is hitting Tokyo in the company of W10 Records owner Danny Wheeler, who'll be making his first appearance at 06S.
