Hardcore techno, gabba and breakcore must be some of the most cartoonish dance genres around, so it was probably inevitable that they'd end up crossbreeding with the Japanese anime scene. Get a taste of clubbing at its geekiest when the Akihabara crowd descend on Shinjuku Marz this weekend for a seriously queasy all-nighter. DJ Sharpnel (think: anisong set to 200BPM pachinko rhythms) is the best known name on the bill, though he's ably supported by the likes of breakcore/dubstep enthusiast Numb'n'Dub and gabba performance artist Disc Yurion.
