Time Out says

A decade after winning the DMC World DJ Championships with the competition's first-ever perfect score, DJ Kentaro has successfully transitioned from the hermetic world of turntablism to more mainstream success. It helps, of course, that he also makes his own music: this week sees the release of his second solo album, Contrast, which romps through a range of styles including hip hop, grime, dubstep and drum 'n' bass, with help from a cast of guests including fellow turntable wizard Kid Koala, DJ Krush and UK rap crew Foreign Beggars. The latter two will be on hand for Kentaro's release party at Ageha this weekend, a bass-fuelled jamboree that also enlists drum 'n' bass stalwarts DJ Aki and Makoto, DJ Baku, the Raid System crew and about a dozen others. Turn up at 8pm and you could also meet the DJ Kentaros of the future at the Red Bull Thre3Style turntablist competition, judged by DJs Krush, Koya and reigning champ Hedspin.
