Club Asia 16th Anniversary

Four years older than Womb and, er, a good 15-and-a-half more than Sound Museum Vision, Club Asia is a genuine institution on the Shibuya nightlife circuit. The club celebrates its 16th birthday this weekend in the company of some of the biggest names to have graced its decks recently, with electro-house overlord Shinichi Osawa, techno veteran Ken Ishii, Capsule producer Yasutaka Nakata and Tha Blue Herb's O.N.O all playing in the main room. However, underground hip-hop heads might struggle to drag themselves away from the second room, where key producer Olive Oil is doing a mammoth six-hour DJ set, with visuals by sibling sidekick Popy Oil.
