Michigan producer John Beltran has been cranking out tracks for over two decades now, and he's covered ample ground since getting his first releases on Carl Craig's Retroactive Records in the early '90s. Techno, ambient, Latin grooves and future jazz have all popped up across the course of Beltran's discography, some of which was neatly summarised in last year's Ambient Selections 1995-2011. Surprisingly, given his pedigree, Beltran's appearance at Air this month will be the first time he's ever played live in Japan. Sapporo-based DJ Naohito Uchiyama also guests, with support from Foureal Records boss Shinya Okamoto.
