Mad Professor meets Smith & Mighty

Club nights don't get much more bottom-heavy than this. Long before dubstep ushered in a new generation of British bass worshippers, Mad Professor and Smith & Mighty were concocting ways to push sound systems to the limit. The Professor, aka Guyana-born Neil Joseph Stephen Fraser, ranks alongside Adrian Sherwood as one of the most important producers in the UK dub scene, and has worked with everyone from Lee 'Scratch' Perry to Massive Attack – a connection that he shares with Bristolians Smith & Mighty, who produced the trip-hop group's first single. Support DJs Kuranaka 1945 and Timor promise to keep things in a rub-a-dub style in the main room, while you can expect drum 'n' bass, dubstep and world music in the other rooms during the night.
