Omnivorous

Yup, ‘omnivorous’ sounds just about right for this genre-smashing team-up between Unit and Tower Records. Shutoku Mukai's Zazen Boys – who manage to cover about five or six different genres by themselves, often all in the same song – head a lineup of live acts that's split between complex instrumental bands (Networks, L.E.D.) and off-kilter hip hoppers (Cypress Ueno & Robert Yoshino, Tengal6). The DJ bill, meanwhile, includes such anything-goes party starters as DJ Yogurt, Michinobu Takarada and Shhhhh.
