How's this for a nice bit of timing? Influential British techno producer Tony Child – better known as Surgeon – will be celebrating his birthday on May 1, then hitting Unit a couple of nights later to mark the 20th anniversary of his career in DJing. Though he's synonymous with the industrial techno scene that developed in his native Birmingham during the 1990s, Surgeon can get pretty eclectic in his DJ sets – especially when he's got four hours to play with, as he does here. Former Maniac Love mainstay Rok Da House plays a three-hour set of his own in support.
