Systematic Night

Systematic Recordings boss Marc Romboy likes to describe his sound as 'soulful techno', which is a convenient way of distinguishing it from the more austere music peddled by some of his minimal contemporaries. The Dusseldorf native launched Systematic not long after Get Physical started up in Berlin, and it took a while to escape the latter's considerable shadow, though it got there in the end. The label has provided an outlet for much of Romboy's own material, most recently Luna, a whopping 3CD set born from his lengthy collaboration with Stephan Bodzin.
