Here's a rarity: an all-night club event that you'd actually want to turn up to early. Fashion brand TYO Empire and label Niw! Records have teamed up for a two-parter at Unit, in which a pair of bands play live first then let the DJs take over afterwards. Synth-enhanced pop-rock trio Frontier Backyard (whose new album, Sunset Sunrise, comes out this week) and 'progressive jam band' Rega play in the first part of the event, which presumably runs until around 12.30am. Then it's time for a gaggle of veteran party-starters, helmed by electro duo Dexpistols, to turn the dancefloor into a heaving mess.
