Do some artists deliberately try to Google-proof their careers? As if naming himself after the lead character from a Disney franchise wasn't enough, Leeds producer Jack Sparrow recently unveiled a new collaboration that's even less likely to make its way to the top of the Google search pile. Their name: Author. If it's all part of a strategy to let the music do the talking, it's kind of working – Sparrow's releases on the Tectonic label have garnered some strong reviews to date, drawing comparisons to adventurous dubstep producers such as Pinch and Shackleton. He'll be marking the release of Author's eponymous debut at Air, in the company of Japanese bass lover Goth-Trad – who's got an eagerly anticipated LP of his own due out soon on Mala's Deep Medi label.
