With enigmatic director Alejandro Jodorowsky's new film Endless Poetry set to hit Japanese cinemas in November, Shibuya's Uplink raises the temperature with a six-flick programme dedicated to the Chilean auteur. It includes both the critically acclaimed Jodorowsky's Dune, a documentary that surveys Jodorowsky's ultimately unsuccessful efforts to bring sci-fi epic Dune to the big screen in the 1970s, and The Dance of Reality, a surrealistic journey into Jodorowsky's childhood in Chile, plus earlier work such as Mex-western El Topo and 1973's The Holy Mountain. Note, however, that all films are screened with Japanese subtitles only and that the programme is only available in Japanese.
