This film festival is a great opportunity to get your fill of Brazilian film, which is otherwise so rarely screened in Japan. This year will be the festival’s sixth. With everything from dramas to comedies to documentaries, the festival brings together a broad selection of Brazilian films, which are to be screened for the first time in Japan, and works by Japanese directors around the theme of Brazil. Starting on Saturday October 9, the festival will take place over a month and in the four cities of Tokyo, Osaka, Hamamatsu and Kyoto. Films will be screened in Tokyo from Saturday October 9 to Friday October 15.
