Mamoru Oshii all-nighter

Anime and live-action director Mamoru Oshii gets the full treatment at this Saturday all-night screening at Ikeburo's Shin-Bungeiza cinema. The program kicks off with 1995's Ghost in the Shell – widely considered Oshii's signature work – and its meditative sequel, Innocence (2004). You can also see the early Angel's Egg (1985), produced in collaboration with artist Yoshitaka Amano, and the ambitious (if not entirely successful) Japanese-Polish live-action feature, Avalon (2001).
