Nebukuro Cinema

Film, Fantasy Free

Set to be torn down in the very near future, the Asahi Shinkin Bank's old personnel training institute out in Saitama's Koshigaya, right by the Motoara River, is the unlikely venue for this spring's edition of Nebukuro Cinema. Started by a group of Chofu dads in order to offer parents with young kids some family-friendly film-watching opportunities, the event now moves away from its birthplace for the first time. In addition to a free screening of Tim Burton's Big Fish, the programme includes giveaways of the institute's leftover stuff and the chance to draw all over the condemned building's walls. There'll also be plenty of warm food and drinks available for purchase, so don't forget to bring some change along with your sleeping bag.
